Away with the penguins
von Hazel Prior
Meet Veronica McCreedy, a sturdy eighty-six-year-old with an abhorrence of left open doors, a (well, at least most of the time …) impeccable memory and the one or other secret hidden behind her rather harsh appearance. A woman who decides, it is not enough to regularly pick up litter at the Scottish coastline near her mansion, but finally time to make a real difference — and despite all inconveniences (and firm refusals of all the other involved) sets on to travel to Antarctica to meet (and maybe financially support) a small team of ill-founded scientists researching a settlement of endangered Adéline penguins.
P.S.: We apologize; we were short of Adéline penguins. But this little fella volunteered to step in.
